Understanding Your Electric Bill - Cape Light Compact

The Cape Light Compact was formed in 1997 to deliver cost-effective energy efficiency programs, provide a stable competitive power supply option that benefits consumers, and represent the interests of Cape and Vineyard electric ratepayers at the state level. The Cape Light Compact will be holding a presentation at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Lecture Hall C. Austin Brandt, the CLC's Senior Power Supply Planner, will review how this local municipal aggregator was formed by the 21 towns of Barnstable and Dukes Counties and outline its services available to residents and businesses. Information will be provided on what to be aware of when evaluating competitive electric supply offers, the market drivers of electricity pricing, how to take advantage of the Compact's energy efficiency programs, and what to consider when evaluating whether to install solar or participate in a community solar project. Materials on a variety of energy topics will be available.
