We are going to go on a journey to explore the wonders of bourbon – because no good story ever started with a salad!

There will be a deep dive into the story of bourbon: what makes bourbon unique; an overview of the history of America’s national spirit; a look at the science of distillation and aging; and some tips for sensory and aroma recognition, and what those descriptors mean. We will also take a look at Kentucky’s “heritage” brands and the new wave of craft distillers. Finally, there will be an optional opportunity to build a virtual flight of three bourbons based on what you have learned in this course. No prior knowledge is required.
